Cold injury worked from the athlete's side and the organiser's

The challenge

Hypothermia in sport often comes from an ordinary event where the plan did not change. Training written only for the clinician leaves the athlete and the organiser outside the course.

What we did

A Storyline lesson that covers how hypothermia happens and how to recognise it, then changes seat twice. Once the reader prepares a runner for cold weather; once they sit on an organising committee with a cold forecast and choose which precautions to take. The same risk is worked from both sides that could have prevented it, not only from the clinician treating it.

Project highlights

Two vantage points
The same risk is worked once as the athlete preparing and once as the committee deciding, so the lesson reaches both people who could have prevented the injury rather than only the one treating it.
23 screens, counted
A position counter on every screen and no gating, so a clinician can work a lesson into a gap in the day and know exactly where they stopped.
