The challenge
Emergency contraception in a pharmacy is a conversation, not a product. Quizzing the protocol does not test the consult.
What we did
A Storyline scenario in which the learner is the health worker and the client is in the room. Lessons lock in sequence, so the test cannot be sat without the conversation: counsel, then provide the pills and follow-up, then six questions. Accuracy, respect and communication are scored separately while the consult is still happening. A pharmacist can know the protocol and still fail the conversation; the course will show which.

- Ten counselling steps, nine on provision and follow-up, then six questions. Lessons two and three stay locked until the one before them is done — the assessment is not a shortcut around the consult.
